Functional status in postural tachycardia syndrome.

The study investigates the impact of postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) on functional status, highlighting significant daily life disruptions and high levels of self-perceived disability among patients. On average, patients reported that 11 different daily activities were affected. A notable 93.4% of participants experienced cognitive impairments, and 55.3% reported falls annually. Despite these challenges, only a minority (26.9%) accessed therapy services. The findings suggest that individuals with POTS face considerable disability and need more support in managing daily activities, indicating a need for further research into therapeutic interventions to enhance function and quality of life.
